The people behind the purpose

A little heart.
A whole community.

Students, advisors, and neighbors, connected by the belief that everyone deserves to be met with care.

Why BridgeCare began

Health gives us
possibility.

Growing up in Pakistan, Yahya had food, shelter, and comfort. Seeing people around him go without those same resources left him with gratitude, and a responsibility to give back.

His great uncle, Moodi Mamo, was a kind, strong man he deeply admired. Severe arthritis and later a stroke limited what Mamo could do. Watching someone he loved lose that independence shaped Yahya’s purpose.

“We all have issues in life, but we should be healthy enough to go face them.”

BridgeCare brings that belief to life through practical support for underserved neighbors and meaningful service that helps students become more compassionate future healthcare professionals.
